Artificial General Intelligence

Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is the attempt to generate intelligence as a whole in computers. This talk will start at the historical background and recent development of AGI research, as well as its relation with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Then, several common doubts and objections about this research will be addressed. Finally, the fundamental questions of the field and the primary answers will be discussed. The talk will introduce the topics at a general level, with many links to technical materials for further exploration.
